My CV

After a career as a research psychologist working in the academic and public sectors I embarked on an analytic training at the Centre for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.  I joined the London Centre for Psychotherapy, which recently became part of a larger organisation, The British Psychotherapy Foundation, registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council. I work mainly in private practice.

Analytic psychotherapy training provides one of the most rigorous of all psychotherapy trainings. Students are required to undergo intensive, long-term therapy as part of their training.  The training lasts 4-7 years and includes theoretical and clinical seminars and also weekly individual supervision of in-depth cases.  There is also an emphasis on infant and child development to deepen understanding of the origins of difficulties encountered later in life.

Psychotherapists registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council have undergone one of these intensive trainings. They abide by the BPC’s ethical code and requirements for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
